A space to play, learn and grow like kids again

Studio Love is dedicated to building spaces where all voices can grow and thrive. We aim to be an incubator for creative projects by helping each other cultivate (and remember) the joy of discovery that leads us to the places in our lives where sky and earth, dreams and reality, and art and life come together.

We began as a group of friends sharing our side projects in a way where we were encouraged to push our boundaries and comfort zones. What emerged is a realization that dedicating a time and space to be present with what is deep within us and to be present with each other, produced a lot of hope, beauty and art -- it felt like LOVE, creativity and fun made tangible from a place of learning and making.

What could be more joyful than carrying our musical instruments into the woods and singing to the trees next to Andy Goldsworthy's Wood Line?

It doesn't feel surprising that courage and creativity bloom in a sacred space like this.  We build these spaces all the time for our kids – encourage them to try new things, to build skill around their natural abilities, to play, to sing, to be outdoors, to fully embrace the imaginary worlds they inhabit, to learn to be comfortable with the voices they have to share in this world, and to do all this in harmony with others. This is how they learn and grow – the greatest hope being they become the person they need to be.

With a little reason and much heart, one can change many things, or move mountains.

Our hope at Studio Love is to create places to play like kids again -- a richer, wiser play as we bring all the experiences we’ve had in life with us this time. We are more aware of who we are, of the community we belong to, of our finite time in this world and our desire to make a difference while here. What is possible if we build a community around a space like this? What art and love can we grow that is bigger than any one of us could do ourselves?

So here’s to hope, to beauty, to awareness, to collaboration, to activism, to art...here's to love.
